Według wstępnych danych za 2011 r. Acer miał 219 mln dol. straty netto, zmniejszyły się przychody. Zysk odnotowano jednak w IV kwartale.
W 2011 r. skonsolidowane przychody Acera wyniosły 475,5 mld dol. tajwańskich (15,7 mld dol. amerykańskich), tj. o 24,4 proc. mniej niż rok wcześniej. Spółka wyjaśnia spadek jednorazowym odpisem w II kw. w regionie EMEA. Roczna strata operacyjna wyniosła 6,4 mld dol. tajwańskich (212 mln USD), a strata netto – 6,6 mld dol. tajw. (219 mln USD).
W IV kw. ub.r. skonsolidowane przychody zmalały o 14,4 proc. rok do roku do 127,7 mld dol. tajw. (4,2 mld USD), ale były wyższe o ponad 8 proc. niż w III kw. Firma osiągnęła zysk netto w wysokości 100 mln dol. tajw. (2,5 mln USD).
Acer zapewnił, że po operacyjnych i strategicznych zmianach w II kw. 2011 r. sytuacja finansowa i biznesowa firmy ulega poprawie i stabilizuje się.
