Na klientów o nieco mniejszych wymaganiach czekają konfiguracje z 12 i 24 nośnikami. Komunikacja z dyskami odbywa się w standardzie 12 Gb/s, co w połączeniu z dyskami SSD oraz bardzo wydajnymi procesorami kontrolerów pozwala na osiągnięcie nawet 300 tys. operacji wejścia/wyjścia.

Rodzina macierzy EF280 obejmuje wyłącznie nośniki flash. W najnowszych wariantach tych pamięci można pomieścić dyski SSD o łącznej pojemności nawet do 367 terabajtów.
