Obecnie w zasadzie biznesowe życie toczy się za pośrednictwem ekranu monitora, dlatego tak ważne jest, by jego jakość była bezkompromisowa.

Monitor podpięty do laptopa

Od lat przekonujemy, że długotrwała praca na laptopach jest szkodliwa, zarówno dla oczu (bo matryce instalowane w tego typu komputerach są słabej jakości i często błyszczące), jak i dla kręgosłupa (nawet gdy laptop znajduje się na biurku, pracując na nim opuszczamy głowę. Jego mobilność sprawia, że często przybieramy wygodną, ale szkodliwą pozycję – kto z nas nie pracował, leżąc na łóżku czy kanapie. Dlatego do laptopa warto podpiąć zewnętrzny monitor, a jeśli będzie to monitor EIZO, możemy mieć pewność, że uda się go ustawić w pozycji optymalnej dla każdego użytkownika, niezależnie od jego wzrostu i wymiarów biurka, na którym pracuje.

Ulga dla oczu

Wiele lat temu EIZO przeprowadziło badania analizujące relację między komfortem pracy a wydajnością. Ich rezultaty pokazały, że nasza efektywność może być prawie 15 proc. wyższa, pod warunkiem, że będziemy pracować w optymalnych warunkach (mowa tylko o odpowiednim monitorze). W monitorach EIZO z serii FlexScan stosowanych jest wiele rozwiązań, które mają łagodzić wpływ wielogodzinnej pracy na nasze samopoczucie. Jednym z nich jest ograniczenie emisji szkodliwego niebieskiego światła. Monitory biurowe EIZO mają specjalny tryb wyświetlania obrazu, w którym ekran ma żółtawy, cieplejszy odcień. To tryb przeznaczony do pracy z dokumentami tekstowymi czy arkuszami kalkulacyjnymi.

Przyzwyczajeni już do wysokich rozdzielczości i intensywnych kolorów, jakie widzimy na ekranach tabletów czy smartfonów, intuicyjnie zwiększamy jaskrawość kolorów na monitorach. Tymczasem zbyt duża jasność zwiększa zmęczenie. Również tę kwestię rozwiązało EIZO – czujnik Auto EcoView wykrywa zmiany oświetlenia zachodzące w otoczeniu w ciągu dnia i automatycznie ustawia optymalny poziom jasności ekranu – obraz nigdy nie jest zbyt jasny ani też zbyt ciemny.

Kolejnym problemem wynikającym z charakterystyki matryc LCD jest migotanie obrazu – dla większości z nas niezauważalne, powoduje jednak zmęczenie oczu. Jego przyczyną jest wykorzystywana w konwencjonalnych panelach metoda regulacji jasności podświetlenia LED. W monitorach EIZO serii FlexScan stosowane jest hybrydowe rozwiązanie, dzięki któremu regulowanie jasności nie powoduje zauważalnego migotania, przy zachowaniu stabilności koloru. Oczywiście wszystkie matryce montowane w monitorach EIZO są matowe – padające na ekran światło jest rozpraszane i nie ma efektu blikowania, bardzo uciążliwego zwłaszcza w słoneczne dni lub przy oświetleniu punktowym.

Złącze USB-C i hub USB

Część monitorów z serii FlexScan wyposażonych jest w złącze USB-C, które umożliwia wyświetlanie sygnałów audio, wideo i USB, a także ładowanie urządzeń. Dzięki temu do podpięcia monitora do laptopa wystarcza jeden kabel – jest to rozwiązanie wygodne i ograniczające liczbę kabli kłębiących się na biurkach. Co więcej, w nowoczesnych laptopach ogranicza się liczbę złączy, zwłaszcza użytkownicy Maców mają często problem z podłączeniem peryferiów. Do huba USB w monitorze można podpiąć klawiaturę, mysz i inne akcesoria, dla których zabrakło slotów.

Powierzchnia robocza

Monitor na potrzeby domowego biura powinien mieć odpowiednią wielkość. To znaczy taką, aby swobodnie zmieścił się na wydzielonej przestrzeni. Jednocześnie trzeba pamiętać, że przekątna ekranu, rozdzielczość, a co za tym idzie wielkość plamki w wykorzystywanych aplikacjach ma znaczenie dla komfortu pracy. Należy więc wnikliwie przeanalizować sytuację i dobrać właściwe rozwiązanie. Przykładowo, zamiast jednego monitora o dużej rozdzielczości i małej plamce, wybrać dwa o mniejszych rozdzielczościach i większej plamce, co zwiększy czytelność obrazu.
