Epidemia koronawirusa zagraża dostawom iPhone’ów
Zaraza może zakłócić produkcję sprzętu.
Foxconn, największy producent urządzeń Apple'a, ocenia że epidemia koronawirusa może mieć duży wpływ na produkcję iPhone'ów. Niemal całkowicie stanęły taśmy zakładów w Chinach – informuje Reuters.
Na razie wpływ zarazy na podaż sprzętu oceniono jako niewielki. Foxconn dostarcza urządzenia także innym największym markom. Zwiększył produkcję w swoich zakładach w innych częściach świata, w Wietnamie, Indiach, Meksyku, aby zrekompensować wstrzymanie dostaw z Chin.
Jednak według ustaleń Reutersa w przypadku iPhone'ów trudno będzie uniknąć opóźnień. Jak podaje Nikkei Apple planował wyprodukować w br. 80 mln szt. smartfonów. Produkcja w Foxconnie miała ruszyć pełną parą w drugiej połowie lutego, jednak nie wiadomo, jak dalej rozwinie się epidemia i jakie będą instrukcje władz. Na południu kraju znajdują najważniejsze fabryki Foxconna wytwarzające iPhone'y.
Ostatnio IHS Markit ostrzegał, że epidemia zagraża produkcji paneli do ekranów.
