W II kw. br. ceny NAND flash nieznacznie spadną z powodu nadprodukcji – twierdzi DRAMeXchange. Podobna sytuacja miała miejsce w I kw. br. W efekcie ceny SSD SATA OEM spadły o 3-5 proc. wobec IV kw. ub.r.

Analitycy spodziewają się jednak, że podaż znów może nie nadążyć nad popytem w drugiej połowie 2018 r., gdy wzrośnie popyt ze strony dystrybutorów. Ponadto dla producentów urządzeń zacznie się najlepszy sezon sprzedażowy. Z tego powodu ceny ustabilizują się – uważa DRAMeXchange.

Jeszcze w końcu ub.r. przypuszczano, że ceny NAND flash, a tym samym m.in. nośników SSD wyraźnie zmniejszą się w br. – nawet o połowę. Nowa prognoza rozwiewa te nadzieje.
