Acer zapowiada poprawę w finansach
W końcu 2016 r. bilansu koncernu obciążyły koszty utraty wartości aktywów. Szef Acera uspokaja, że w 2018 r. będzie lepiej.
Koszty utraty wartości aktywów niematerialnych Acera wyniosły pod koniec roku prawie 200 mln dol. Amortyzacja kosztów związanych z tymi aktywami spadnie o 7 mld dol. w 2017 r., a w 2018 r. zostanie całkowicie wyeliminowana – zapewnił CEO Jason Chen.
Według szefa korporacji można spodziewać się dzięki przyspieszenia rozwoju firmy: poprawa struktury finansowej ma wpłynąć pozytywnie na ofertę produktów i operacje w kanale sprzedaży. Firma zamierza skoncentrować się na produktach z wyższej półki cenowej oraz generujących wysokie marże. Acer kontynuuje także ekspansję w sektorze przedsiębiorstw. Produkty przeznaczone na rynek enterprise mają odpowiadać już za 42 proc. przychodów koncernu, kojarzonego do niedawna jako tania marka konsumencka.
