Koniec netbooków
Najwięksi gracze na rynku netbooków - Asus i Acer - kończą produkcję tych urządzeń.
Asus już wcześniej zapowiedział, że rezygnuje z dostarczania serii Eee PC z końcem 2012 r., natomiast Acer – drugi duży dostawca netbooków – nie planuje wprowadzania na rynek nowych modeli w 2013 r. Bez dwóch głównych producentów netbooki praktycznie znikną z rynku. Pozostaną jeszcze w ofercie do wyczerpania zapasów. W segmencie komputerowym netbooki mają zostać zastąpione przez tanie notebooki w cenach zaczynających się od ok. 350 dol. (ok. 1100 zł).
Sprzedaż netbooków spada od kilku kwartałów. W Polsce w III kw. 2012 r. według danych Contextu klienci kupili 63,1 tys. netbooków, tj. o 10,9 proc. mniej niż rok wcześniej.
