HTC nadal w dołku, prognozuje odbicie
Po blisko 380 mln dol. straty po 3 kwartałach roku tajwański producent zapowiada poprawę. Analitycy są sceptyczni.
HTC prognozuje, że w IV kw. br. sprzedaż będzie większa o 20-30 proc. niż w III kw. br. i wyniesie ok.769 – 860 mln dol., dzięki wprowadzeniu na rynek nowych modeli smartfonów. W ocenie analityków przychody spółki będą jednak podobne jak w III kw., a w najlepszym wypadku nieznacznie wzrosną. Trudno mieć nadzieję na poprawę po słabych wynikach minionego kwartału, kiedy to strata netto HTC sięgnęła ok. 138 mln dol. W ciągu trzech kwartałów br. urosła już do blisko 380 mln dol., przy przychodach ponad 2,9 mld dol.
W wyjściu z dołka ma pomóc producentowi wejście w nowe segment rynku, jak urządzenia noszone i rzeczywistość wirtualna. W grudniu mają pojawić się w pierwsze okulary HTC z tego segmentu. Są przeznaczone głównie na rynek amerykański i europejski. Zespół firmy wzmocnił Abgail Brody, który 10 lat spędził w Apple’u. Pracował m.in. przy projektach iOS 1 oraz iCloud.
