Foxconn podbił stawkę za Sharpa
Tajwańskiemu koncernowi najwyraźniej zależy na zakupie Sharpa. Oferuje za przejęcie firmy 5,3 mld dol.
Poprzednie nieoficjalne doniesienia mówiły o kwocie 2,5 mld dol. O aktualnej propozycji informuje The Wall Street Journal. Dodatkowo tajwański koncern oferuje spłatę długów Sharpa, wartych na koniec III kw. ub.r. 6,3 mld dol. Mimo podniesionej wyceny Foxconnowi nie będzie łatwo przekonać regulatorów rynku. Wygląda na to, że japoński rząd chce uniknąć sprzedaży firmy za granicę, stąd pomysł przejęcia Sharpa przez państwowy fundusz INCJ. Ma on już udziały w wytwarzającej ekrany spółce Japan Display, która jest partnerem Sharpa na tym rynku. Jednak fundusz oferuje udziałowcom mniej więcej połowę tego, co Foxconn.
Porozumienie w sprawie przyszłości Sharpa powinno zapaść do 4 lutego, gdy firma przedstawi wyniki finansowe za poprzedni kwartał.
