TL-WR802N to według producenta najmniejszy na świecie router bezprzewodowy.
Urządzenie może działać w trybach: punkt dostępowy, router, wzmacniacz sygnału (repeater), most (bridge), klient. Ten ostatni pozwala na podłączenie do sieci bezprzewodowej urządzeń nie wyposażonych w moduł Wi-Fi, takich jak konsole, telewizory, czy dekodery. Wystarczy podpiąć router kablem ethernetowym do sprzętu, a następnie podłączyć zasilanie przez port USB. TL-WR802N ma także port WAN 10/100 Mb/s. Aby utworzyć bezprzewodowy punkt dostępowy należy podłączyć kabel WAN do portu w routerze i wpisać hasło. Dane są szyfrowane w standardach WEP, WPA / WPA2, WPA-PSK / WPA2-PSK.
Sprzęt może być zasilany za pomocą zewnętrznej ładowarki, kablem USB z komputera, a także power bankiem.
