Reorganizacja w Asusie
W ramach System Business Group w Asusie powołano nowe jednostki. Reorganizacja ma dostosować strukturę firmy do nowego otoczenia rynkowego.
System Business Group będą tworzyć dwie nowe jednostki. Jedna to Personal Computing Business Unit, która obejmuje notebooki i desktopy. Składa się z dwóch dywizji oraz dwóch centrów badań i rozwoju.
Druga to Mobile Computing Business Unit – odpowiada za smartfony i tablety. Składa się z dwóch dywizji, dwóch centrów rozwoju oprogramowania oraz z centrum zarządzania łańcuchem dostaw.
Zmiana oznacza, że Open Platform Business Unit Asusa nie będzie już zajmował się desktopami. Obejmie produkty spoza kategorii PC, jak płyty główne, karty graficzne i monitory.
Reorganizacji towarzyszą zmiany zakresu obowiązków dyrektorów. Wiceprezesi Asusa: SY Hsu i Samson Hu zostali dyrektorami operacyjnymi firmy. Hsu skoncentruje się na zarządzaniu nowymi działami komputerowymi, a Hu będzie odpowiedzialny za usługi dla użytkowników i jednostkę Open Platform. Szef działu R&D ZenFone pokieruje także należącym do Asusa zespołem laboratorium Da Vinci.
