Apple tnie zamówienia na części do iPadów – spadnie popyt na tablety?
Koncern zmniejszył zamówienia na podzespoły do produkcji iPadów 2 o jedną czwartą. Nie są jasne przyczyny tego kroku.
Wiadomość o tak dużej redukcji z niepokojem przyjęli inwestorzy. Spadł kurs akcji Apple’a na Wall Street. Koncern nie wyjaśnił przyczyny tej decyzji (dotychczas zamówienia rosły). Zdaniem analityków wchodzą w grę dwie opcje – Apple spodziewa się wyhamowania popytu w IV kwartale albo chce zmniejszyć zapasy w magazynach. Jak na razie nic nie wskazuje na to, by zapotrzebowanie na iPady miało maleć. Tylko w II kw. według IDC Apple dostarczył na rynek ponad 9 mln urządzeń. Ze względu na duży popyt na iPady firma badawcza podniosła prognozę sprzedaży w całym 2011 r. z 53,5 do 62,5 mln szt.
