Polacy wyrzucają coraz więcej sprzętu
Od II. połowy 2006 r. do końca 2010 r. zebrano 309 tys. ton zużytego sprzętu elektrycznego i elektronicznego. W 2011 r. przybędzie kolejne 170 tys. ton – przewiduje Główny Inspektorat Ochrony Środowiska.
Zgodnie z ustawą z 2005 r. nie można zostawiać w śmietniku urządzeń działających na prąd lub baterie, m.in. komputerów i telefonów. Grozi za to grzywna do 5 tys. zł. Elektrośmieci zbierają wyspecjalizowane firmy. Jedna z nich, ElektroEko, poinformowała, że jak dotąd przejęła większość tego typu odpadów w Polsce – ponad 200 tys. ton. W myśl obowiązujących przepisów nie można demontować urządzeń traktowanych jako odpady. Grozi za to od 2 do 100 tys. zł.
