Kingston: nowa linia dysków SSD
Producent wprowadził na rynek nową linię dysków półprzewodnikowych z serii SSDNow S100 o pojemności 8 GB i 16 GB.
Dyski są przeznaczone do systemów wbudowanych i innych urządzeń elektronicznych, poza standardowymi komputerami. Ich wymiary wynoszą 70 mm x 100 mm x 9,5 mm. Napędy wyposażono w interfejsy SATA 1,5 GB/s i 3,0 GB/s. Dysk 8-gigabajtowy charakteryzuje się maksymalną prędkością odczytu 90 MB/s, natomiast 16-gigabajtowy – 230 MB/s. Szybkości zapisu wynoszą odpowiednio 35 MB/s i 75 MB/s. W czasie pracy napędy pobierają 2,26 W, a w trybie spoczynku 1,08 W. Żywotność przewidywana przez producenta sięga 1 mln godzin.
