Wygląda na to, że producenci nie liczą na duży popyt na notebooki w okresie back to school. W lipcu światowe dostawy topowych marek spadły o 23 proc. w porównaniu z czerwcem.
Według Digitimes Research największy dołek odnotował Acer. W przypadku HP i Asusa spadek wyniósł 28 proc. Produkcję ograniczyły dalekowschodnie montownie laptopów (spadek dostaw o 17 proc. w lipcu br. porównaniu z czerwcem).
HP spodziewa się, że w III kw. br. dostarczy na rynek o 19 proc. notebooków więcej niż w II kw., głównie dzięki zamówieniom z amerykańskiej sieci Walmart oraz z Indii. W przypadku Acera i Asusa zdaniem analityków spadek w III kw. br. jest jednak nieunikniony.
