Od BASF-a do EMTEC-a
Od 2002 roku wszystkie produkty oznaczane do tej pory BASF/EMTEC będą opatrzone wyłącznie nowym logo marki EMTEC. Pod koniec 2001 roku wygasa umowa między firmą BASF i EMTEC dotycząca wykorzystania logo BASF na produktach EMTEC-a
Od 2002 roku wszystkie produkty oznaczane do tej pory BASF/EMTEC będą opatrzone wyłącznie nowym logo marki EMTEC. Pod koniec 2001 roku wygasa umowa między firmą BASF i EMTEC dotycząca wykorzystania logo BASF na produktach EMTEC-a. Nie zmieniona zostanie szata graficzna produktów, spiralne logo, a także kod kolorystyczny, czcionka i opisy.
Współpraca firm BASF i EMTEC rozpoczęła się pod koniec 1996 roku, kiedy to rozstały się dwie firmy – BASF AG i zależna od niej spółka BASF Magnetics, zajmująca się produkcją i dystrybucją nośników do zapisu informacji. BASF AG zrezygnowała z produkcji nośników magnetycznych i sprzedała ten dział wraz z pięcioma zakładami produkcyjnymi, aby móc koncentrować się na głównych dziedzinach swojej działalności, tj. przemyśle chemicznym i farmaceutycznym.
1 stycznia 1997 roku rozpoczęła działalność nowa niezależna spółka pod nazwą EMTEC Magnetics. Zmiany dotyczyły tylko struktur kapitałowych i zmiana nazwy producenta nie wpłynęła na asortyment produktów. Wtedy też EMTEC Magnetcs GmbH podpisała umowę licencyjną z BASF AG obejmującą dalsze wykorzystywanie logo BASF na produktach firmy EMTEC. W 1998 roku do logo BASF dodano napis 'by EMTEC’. W 2000 roku stosowano już przejściowe logo podwójne – BASF/EMTEC.
