Dział pamięci masowej Quantuma wprowadził na rynek uniwersalny podręczny tester dysków twardych – Qtest-ATA. Urządzenie umożliwia automatyczne przeprowadzenie testu poprawności działania wszystkich modeli dysków twardych ATA dowolnego producenta. Testerem steruje się za pomocą jednego przycisku, a wyświetlane komunikaty pozwalają użytkownikowi na wybór krótko- lub długotrwałego sprawdzania dysku.
Tester łączy się z dyskiem twardym za pomocą dostarczonego w zestawie 40-stykowego kabla płaskiego. Urządzenie działa przy wyłączonym komputerze, nie wymaga też wyjęcia dysku z obudowy. Jeśli test wykaże nieprawidłowe działanie dysku twardego produkcji Quantuma, na ekranie pojawi się właściwy dla Quantuma kod testu, który należy podać zamawiając dysk zastępczy.
