BSA: piraci w firmach zapłacili milion złotych odszkodowań
W 2010 r. pirackie oprogramowanie wykryto w 402 firmach. Koszty odszkodowań dla właścicieli praw licencyjnych sięgnęły bez mała 1 mln zł.
Według Business Software Alliance w ubiegłym roku użytkownicy nielegalnych aplikacji zawarli 146 ugód z właścicielami praw do licencji. Kwoty odszkodowań wyniosły w sumie 937,6 tys. zł. To prawie 15 proc. więcej niż w 2009 r. Znacznie wzrosła wykrywalność takich przestępstw – w 2009 r. stwierdzono 281 przypadków używania nielegalnego oprogramowania przez przedsiębiorców, a w 2011 r. – 402.
Z danych Microsoftu i Stowarzyszenia Pro Legal z ub. roku wynika, że w 90 proc. przypadków policja wykrywa pirackie oprogramowanie w firmach w wyniku donosu.
Według raportu IDC dla BSA w 2009 r. ponad połowa oprogramowania (54 proc.) używanego w Polsce była nielegalnego pochodzenia. Jego wartość szacowano na ponad 500 mln dol.
Business Software Alliance prowadzi kampanię antypiracką. Uruchomiono infolinię, na którą można przekazać informacje o nielegalnym oprogramowaniu – 801 480 000.
